Calgary Scientific hires Business Development Manager for non-healthcare industry

Success of PureWeb™ platform prompts efforts to include non-healthcare fields

Calgary, AB – April 22, 2009 - Calgary Scientific Inc., a leading innovator in advanced visualization solutions, has hired Mark Wagner to lead business development efforts for the company in the non-healthcare field. Since introducing the PureWeb platform in December of 2008, the company has experienced increasing demand for the product, which enables third-party products to be delivered over the web as well as the company’s own ResMD product suite.

“Calgary Scientific’s PureWeb platform is revolutionizing how users access software applications in one of the most demanding environments – diagnostic medical imaging,” says Wagner. “The capabilities enabled by PureWeb: simplified web browser access and server virtualization, updated and consistent user interfaces for legacy applications and high performance rendering of interface information, will also have a significant benefit in other market segments. Wagner has BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA - both from the University of Alberta. Prior to joining Calgary Scientific, Mark held a wide range of product management roles at Nortel.
